Our Gift Guide for 2017
It’s that time of the year – Christmas is around the corner and we are looking for gifts for loved ones to let them know we think about them, that we know them intimately and that we care for them. If you are having trouble finding appropriate gifts, we have some suggestions!
We have come up with a list of gifts that will enrich and fulfil, that do not tax the earth’s resources too heavily, and that benefit others.
So here’s our Gift Guide for 2017:
Learning: how about a course to learn a new skill, like language, coding or sign language? Check out Skillshare or the University of Oxford Continuing Education Department for exciting things to learn.
Helping others: giving to others makes us feel good and helps someone in need. You could send telephone credit to a refugee so that they can keep in contact with their loved ones, donate to your local shelter or send a gift kit to one of the unparented migrant children we support.
Well-being: this is a gift that will surely be appreciated! Try gifting a meditation retreat, a yoga course, a one-to-one session with a personal trainer, or a massage session.
Adventures: experience gifts are exciting and may introduce your friend to something they had never thought of. How about skydiving, Scuba diving or just a day out at the local farm? Include your company and the gift will be extra special.
Good food: what better way to enjoy life than to enjoy good food? A gift token for a favourite restaurant or an urban home herb and vegetable garden might just be the thing!
What do you think of this list? Any other suggestions? Let us know in the comments!
